Ok time for me to decide what goes into the belly of the beast. I need to pick a project and stick to it. After careful research and consideration I've narrowed my choices to the following. Any and all input will be appreciated. I think I know what engine I'll do, I'd just like to hear a few more opinions to either reinforce my decision, or to shatter my hopes and dreams.

Have fun

*edit(my bad the S13 is KA24E not KA24D like I posted.)Which motor to choose?

What?!?!?!?! No CA on your list? For SHAME!SR: Overdone and overpricedRB20: H-E-A-V-Y (but strong)KA-Ts: No offense...to me doing that is like polishing a turd (unless done right with all new internals, etc)

Yeah the KA is a ugly *** beast. But I would stay with the sohc and just rebuild it. Get a die grinder and polish it paint it and add that underdrive pulley to bling it out some.

you have KA24DT as the s13 listed on the post

lol yeah I edited that in the first post. I shouldn't have to remember engine designations at 2 am while trying to write a paper. Although a carb engine would be pretty cool. Those things sound badass.

*cough* 91-94 S13's got the DE:pface

I'd be building a KA-T right now if it wasn't for that run in with a lightpole...

Well, I just think that it is not that great of an engine. It has it's high points and it is the displacement king of the L4s. IT isn't very smooth, isn't very strong (after the boost is cranked) and just seems like it is cheaper and easier to throw in one of the many JDM options.

For the love of God, people, the RB isn't even that heavy. You could counteract that whole like 60lbs by telling your fat, ugly girlfriend to lay off the KFC. And if the KA is a turd, the CA is diarrhea. And I love the hell out of both.

Edit: And if you're not planning in a ton of power, saying that swapping engines is easier is ridiculous. And another thing, from your defending of the CA, I'd assume you're planning on installing one. If so, then your coupe would be an S13, not PS13. :) Just offering up some differing opinions. ;)
