This is not a for sale thread, just seeking some guidance.
So I've been thinking about selling the vert and driving the truck til next spring and buying something a little newer with four doors and a roof.

The body is straight, other than the dents down the drivers side fender, and the rust hole under the battery tray. It needs a new top too. But it's also 5 speed swapped, has full poly bushing kit, an uncracked dash, s14 seats, an aluminum drive shaft, a still working vlsd, and new rotors and pads front and rear from Nissan.

I have someone who wants to give me 2k cash for it, but I'm not sure if I'll regret letting it go, or if I'm asking too little for it.

I really do fall in love with the car every time I do some some spirited driving with the top down, and when I get complimented on it. It's also never had a major problem in the 3 years I've owned it. Which is what I fear about buying another car. So what would you guys honestly do in this situation?

If the funds allow for it, sell the truck and get a sedan with the vert as a funtime car. If you need the truck, try to save up and get a sedan. If you feel like youre going to regret it now, you will regret it when you sell it

I don't want to sell that either though, apparently I've been in love with Broncos since the day I was born. I really don't think I'm going to sell it, unless someone offers 6k for it.

I vote to keep the vert. I mean really with all the verts being wrecked and parted out, they are getting even more rare and collectable. They are just so fun and awesome looking, I would hate to see you sell it and then find out the buyer either wrecks it or just destroys how pretty the vert is. I've seen too many end up like that. Like you said, if some one wants to pay a significant price for it then sell it, cause they obviously know how awesome verts are.

Many times, I myself have been wanting to sell my vert but for different reasons then yours. Mine has had many major problems and so far with the paint job, all the car repairs in the last four years, and all the interior work I paid for to have done to make it look like my car is brand new, I have put in around $3000-$4000 just into the vert. I bought the vert for $2700, and I always think about buying a new car but I don't because I remember all the money I put into it and it would be a waste just to sell it for $3k.

Like BTM88 says, no matter who influences you to buy a new car whether it be your parents, friends, or family relatives, remember the reason why you bought it, "For fun".

This is probably the most reliable thing I've ever owned, and I'm not exactly easy on cars. In three years all that happened was an injector failed. Plus I know with plans this winter it should be really nice and even more fun to drive. It'll be really nice when it gets up to 94_240sx status or that other white one from NJ. Thanks for the pep talk guys.

Yeah, you'll ergret it. I sold my M30 convetible years ago because I had a daily drive and still regret that. I wish I had half the cars my dad baought and sold, Jags, Aston Martins (2) MGs, etc. If it's at all possible keep it. Save your pennies and buy somethting practical for your DD.
