I have had my 89 240 for about six months. After buying it I took it Midas to have them take a look at it and give me estimates as to how much it would cost to fix a few things. (the car only costed me $800, so I wasnt going to pass it up)

After getting a quote I decided to take the work into my own hands instead of paying out the butt in labor. The only thing thats really wrong with the car is the front steering and suspension. So far I have fixed the struts myself but here is the other things that needed to be fixed. Maybe you guys can help me figuer out what these things are and how to go about fixing them.

- Two Radius Arms need to be replaced (is that the same thing as a Tension Arm?)

- Rear and Front Sway bar Links

- And I need a front sway bar repair.

Those three things would cost me $334.92 at Midas, so you guys can see why I would go about fixing it myself. Are these somewhat easy things to fix? I know doing the struts was a cakewalk.

Most of that is easy stuff.

The radias bars are indeed the front tension rods. They are three bolts a piece to replace.

Front and rear sway bar links are a little trickier in that you'll need multiple jacks in case the a-arms need to be raised to allow the end-links to be bolted up. Still no biggie, another easy repair.

What exactly is wrong with the front sway bar that it needs to be repaired?
