Its been a while since I have seen a "Kills" thread. Maybe the auto world is leaving us behind.

I found myself playing with a new Accord Coupe last weekend. If it wasn't for the Accord driver's lack of skill I would never have kept up with him. Even "common" cars now have the performance that we always considered to be only for us. At least we are still better built than they are.

Maybe a nice LS2 drivetrane in a '93 Q is a good equalizer.

whats intense is how you have a 15 year old, 4000lb fatty and these common cars are just now catching up..

true, but they are doing it with......V6;s! Accord,camry,pontiac g6,etc {common cheap family cars} are all seeing 0-60 times in the high 5 low 6 second range....scary to think thats what todays kids are fooling around with when they borrow the family car

Thankfully most of them are limited to 115 mph.

Maybe we should be happy as the fastest cars available for under $4000. In a couple of hundred years we should OWN the Grassroots Motorsports low bucks challenge.

The main reason why the new cars are so fast is the gearing. There's no way to compete with a 4 speed auto unless you've got mucho power to back it up. Another reason for the 6 speed swap.

From a dead stop, the newer cars have the advantage but once you get rolling the Q can hold its own, well most of the time.

Idk. I've killing left and right. I think there a couple of outstanding warrants. I sent flowers to the families of the owners I've demolished.

I find it impressive that even without manually shifting, I can hit almost 60 MPH before the AT shifts into 2nd.

I think that's badass. Not to mention, our cars look WAY better than some of the new stuff rolling out. Look at the age of the G50, and how great it looks still.

The new S-Class chassis doesn't tickle my fancy. I think it's God-awful. Ditto for the new Lexus styles.
