Time for venting (Broken Coupe)

I'm cruising down a dark road tonight and there was an awefully slow car in front of me so i floor it to pass them. I then proceed to take a 20mph turn at 45mph and pull up to a stop sign. Traffic was thick and I had to make a left hand turn so I punch it again. Using the manual mode of the cvt I put it into "2nd" around 5k rpms. Next thing I hear is a thump and my engine starts revving while in gear. My vdc and slip lights pop on and i'm able to coast into a church parking lot. Put it in park and I can't push it... Put in in reverse the backup cam comes on but just revs when i give it gas...Put in in drive and the engine revs... Turn the car off and back on and same thing persists... Price to tow coupe 40miles to the dealer $140.61...

I dont think you vented enough windex.

Vent on the forum a little but i would give the stealership heLLL.

Make them pay for your tow, and fix it.

Oh yea... The tower took my car to the wrong dealership last night... As a matter of fact the ****head dropped my car off at a toyota dealership. Now before he took my car I verified he was going to the right dealer (its like 40miles from where i was) he takes it 20miles down the road. WTF!!! Also I idn't realized the Muranos CVTs started screwing up at 30K miles... I'm at 30868...

Different year murano's have different CVT's - the older ones weren't as good. My dad has an 07 altima and he has 40k on it right now with 0 problems.

Internal Transmission Problems... The dealership is replacing my transmission but they have to have it shipped. They won't start work on my car till tuesday. At least I have a murano to get around in and they are reimbursing my towing charges. I asked if they could swap for a 6spd but no dice

Had my transmission replaced too. Horrible to hear they are going out like the Muranos... They have upgraded the trannys since the 04+ Muranos, but they usually started screwing up around 70k miles. Not this low.

I saw stuff about a number of 07 muranos... Granted I drive hard but i can't drive it that hard.

Finally got my coupe back friday last week... Now all i notice are weird noises and small squeaks that i didn't have before. Anyone know somebody thats trying to get rid of a g37s or an evox?

Side note... Has anyone else have their back tires go bald long before their fronts? I noticed yesterday (rained today) my front tires have plenty of thread left but my backs are BALD.

There's gotta be two God Awful sounds in this world when driving your car..Strange noises that is followed with no movements from the car and the sound of a curb scraping the $hit out of your brand new wheels.
