I have had Sumitomo Avid TRZ's on the van since I purchased it, Bought them new. 225 65 r 16. I need new tires, and was wondering what others have gotten for their ride. I am 100% uninterested in the sumi's again, and am hoping for a shorter aspect ratio for the sidewalls. I know all seasons are the way for this van, and would have no problem with them. Anyone run different size tires that what is recommended from Nissan on it? What were the results? Would you do it again? And, please post up sizes and prices if you would.

As far as bang for the buck goes, General Altimax RT43 seems to be a general favorite. I just threw a set on my 94 and am happy with them so far. Steer clear of Goodyear Viva 2's. I had one of them literally start falling apart at 10k miles while I was blasting down the interstate in Kansas City rush-hour traffic. I know they were Goodyear's cheapo tires, but that is just inexcusable in my opinion. I'll be staying away from Goodyear anything from now on.

I feel the same about viva tires. Crap. They put on 235's instead of 225's on the quest, and I really did not like the ride quality or the height. With the aspect ratio of 65 on a 235 it gives it a donut look and a pain to rotate frequently. If I had my druthers, I'd put S Drives on it for the summer and hakkapelitta in the winter. But I don't have the money for all that.
