At the tread bar currnently, and have some sweet Christmas funds.

I live in Florida so I don't need anything snow related, anything you guys can recommend?

My biggest question is how much over 245 can I go in the rear on OEM 19's,

Thanks in advanced.

Have been pleased with my Yoko S-Drives so far.Have 17K miles on them. Fronts are at 7/32nd (i think) Rears at 5 to 6 32nd THey have gotten a little louder, but nothing that can't be blocked with Radio.

Joe has them too, so maybe he'll check in with a review.

What kind of tire are you looking for? Summer only? UHP? All Season? You probably know to check Tirerack for reviews too.

Yup, the S-drives are great. Not as grippy as the OEM tires, but they last much longer.

I have OEM 19's and use the following sizes:

front 245/35/19rear 275/35/19

Tires really fill out the rim nicely. I'd highly recommend the upsize!

Joe how off is you speedo? Any clue?

Just putting the 19s on mine with 255/30 rear I know I'm just slightly off (1-2mph).

Biggie, check this cool tool that's in FAQhttp://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Also, beware as you get some miles on your car it will loosen up.My speed-demon daughter got a ticket zipping back to ASU a month ago and got pulled.

We got her speedo checked in Boone and it's off about 6 MPH at 60.She has 87K miles on her Maxima and is running OEM size Yoko Avids.

When we checked it against my Garmin, I was thinking it was off by 3 at 60.

Yeah, I've used the calc before, was just being lazy.

Tell the daughter to slow down, 321 and 421 are constant speed traps. Oh and tell her I said 'hi' as well.

Joe is only off about 1mph, same as mine currently. I thought the 275 might throw it off more than that.

I'm not really looking for all seasons, seeing I'm in Florida and probably won't drive out of the state anytime soon.

I can use a little less grip for when it's time to play breaking loose a little easier would be nice.

And thank you on the sizing information, exactly what I was looking for.

i was going to get the S-drives when i got tires two months ago... ended up getting the tires in my Signiture because they had the same ratings but with a 40k warranty on tread life and M+S rated...

Then i live in GA so we get a little bit of every weather type. I have been very pleased with these tires noise and grip wise.

I've got 245/35/19 Toyo T1R's all around. I love them. They don't grip in snow/icy conditions very well but in water they are great. They aren't designed for snow and ice.

How much bigger can I go keeping the stock 17's that has 225/55/17's in 55's or 50's?I think 235/55/17's adds just under 1/2 to the width but not sure about the height.
