I kind of wish manufacturers would put less focus on cranking up CPU speed and more focus on balancing out the GPU side of phones. Gimme some Tegra 2 please.

I already bought my Droid and am very happy with it. Don't feel like dropping MORE money, I have a damn desktop to build!

Also, been reading up a lot about the different 5770 radeon manufacturers. Who do you guys suggest? Asus, Sapphire, MSI, Power Color, etc?

Asus, Sapphire, and MSI are all good brands. I've had good experiences with all of them.

wow lots to take in. looking to build a system to. i initially was going to do the same setup(phenom 955) but after seeing that i7 930 at $200 made me start over.

at stock speeds id go with the 955 and put the extra $100 towards the gpu. but the intel overclocks so well. thats where it really shines and triumphs over the 955 .

955 + mobo =$300
i7 930 + mobo =$400

lol edit. i just looked at the micro center store more closely, its in store pickup only. does newegg price match?

No, Newegg will not pricematch.

That is why no one ever quotes Fry's or Microcenter prices when quoting a build.

Hell, they usually have a AMD 955 with motherboard for $160. LOL. They are just door buster deals to get you in to the store.
