Heading up to Syracuse, NY, on Wednesday and leaving Thursday morning. My fiancee and I will be driving from Syracuse, NY to Wichita, KS. Trip is estimated at 1,324 miles and 20 hours. Last year, I drove nonstop and made it in 21 hours. I'm gonna try to break my record this year.

Anyone else making any good road trips for the holidays?

Nick

Wanted to go to Spokane, but I'm staying home for better gifts. Those long drives are the best. You get to see the country, run into some interesting people, and in the Q its like being in your living room.

Only road trip I'm doing is picking up my girlfriend from Kent State on friday, which is about an hour away.

Regardless, everybody who's driving home or taking a road trip, make sure to be safe and get where you're going for the holidays.

My fiancee goes to Colgate University, which is about an hour southeast of Syracuse. Syracuse is the closest airport to fly into.

Jesda, unfortunately the Q won't be coming this time. I have to make the trip in a Saturn LS Now you know why I want to beat my record

I have plenty of road time this holiday season. Yesterday I drove up to Sacramento from San Diego (524.8 miles), and I did it on barely over a tank of gas. I love my car

As for later, I'm flying to Vegas the day after Christmas to meet some friends, then we are driving to Breckinridge, Colorado for a a few days of snowboarding. After that, we drive to Auburn, California for a New Year's party, back to Sacramento to pick up my car, and then back down to San Diego. I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the car this month.

Going to Jonesboro, Arkansas. Think it was 1180miles away. Takes me like 14hrs. Worried though go some minor problems going on with my car. Think I just need filter, plugs, pads, and replace my vaccum hose so I no longer have ducktape.

I'll be spending some quality time in my car when I come home for break on the 18th .

But all of my traveling time will be spent in the air. Flying from Shannon airport to Dublin then onto Chicago and finally back home to Seattle.

I'm driving from DC to NYC this coming weekend.

My record from my house to the Lincoln Tunnel entrance is 3 hrs and 19 minutes.

I would very much like to break the 3 hour barrier. I think it could be done if I made the trip in the middle of the night with no traffic.
