I've had an Exedy clutch and Fidanza flywheel since the swap, about 20K miles at most. It's starting to slip since I turned up boost so time to change it out. Should I just get new friction surface and clutch disc and TOB or replace the whole clutch disc and pressure plate and everything? If I do replace I'm thinking Exedy stage 2.

Hmmm... does the White Bunny clutch fit SR's? I know it's mostly a KA favorite, but you might wanna look into that...

You're burning up a stage 1 clutch on a factory turbo with increased boost? Are you doing 5k clutch drops or something? I've git the exact sane setup in my rebuilt SR and have well over 40k miles with no slippage. The only abuse it sees is an occasional auto-x. Either you got a poor clutch pack or you've torn it up somehow.

As for a replacement, lots of people enjoy ACT clutches. A friend of mine runs a T28 hybrid on that clutch no problem. Avoid Spec. They're crap.

Call up Tennessee Clutch Supply and order one from him. There is some threads floating around and they seem to be holding up to a lot of abuse and you can't beat the price.

just curious, what makes Spec crap? ive run one on my KA for a few years now with no issue, and from what i remember, Razi runs the same one on his KA-T with no issue as well. granted its a stage 2+ on a KA, but i was probably going to go with that when i go SR.

Do some searching on Spec within the boards. I've seen a few horror stories over the years of Spec clutches just grenading way too easily way too early. Their after sale service used to be a nightmare, but I think that's been ironed out for the better. I'm sure that the quality of clutch has improved since I last remember keeping an eye on them, but the few spec discs I've had in hand weren't very well put together and coupled with some nasty reviews from back in the day, I've just always avoided them.

Exedy is definitely my favorite clutch manufacturer. Not sure what your budget is but i know my next clutch will be the Exedy Hyper Single. The stage 2 with a Fidanza flywheel would be my next choice.

Good luck!

Mine started making weird noises lately. :rotfl
Only happens on the first start and I have the clutch pressed in.
Still holds good though, and doesn't make noises when I'm driving.
Whenever this thing dies, I'll probably switch to a white bunny setup from Competition Clutch.
