Great article, made me check myself a bit. Regardless of the outcome, I don't thing either side's "end of the world" scenario is entirely plausible. I believe Obama will increase the peril of our nation, but then there's only so much damage he can really do, especially if GoP retains the House.
Likewise, whatever fears Obama supporters have may have a shred of legitimacy, but then he's not going to have blacks "back in chains" or women "back to barefoot and pregnant".
Theres a graphic I saw not too long ago that read "We survived Bush, you'll survive Obama". There's truth in that. Likewise I'd say "We survived 4 years of Obama, you'll survive 4 of Romey". I realize that's not ideal for either side to consider, but the reality the exists between the two extremes is more in line with this notion.
I still believe this is one of the most critical of elections we've seen in recent decades, and I truly hope that the more conservative (even if only more so by a frogs hair) wins the day. But if he doesn't, I'll hunker down, take it day by day, and pray that we still have a chance to miss the iceberg with a TRUE conservative in 2016.
Hey....one can hope.....
