the passenger side rear wheel is tilted in in a little and cant be aligned. I measured from the rim to the wheel well and is a full inch lower then the drivers side. might I need new springs? or do you think it is a bushing problem?

Yes subframe bushings are probably toast, the spring seats might be torn as well

If the camber is that far out the trailing arm bushings are more likely the issue than the subframe but they should all be looked at. Any shop worth their salt should have been able to tell you this, you might want to take ti to a different shop.

Thank you for your reply. I am doing the job myself and have not brought it to a shop. Could you please tell me what to look at when inspecting the bushings?

The trailing arm has 2 bushings where the trailing arm bolts to the rear crossmember, if the wheel is tilting in than one or both bushings are gone allowing the trailing arm to tilt in, or a bolt is missing. get under there and have a look.
