TIIDA in Mexico?

i was reading through an old thread and i seen a post from a guy that lives in Mexico and he said he had a TIIDA is this true? if so im gonna cross the border to steal me an emblem.... lol....

Yes, in Mexico the Versa is called TIIDA as in the rest of the world. It only has some minor differences such as the side markers, and options, for instance, we don't have the bluetooth options available.

BTW, I would not suggest that you risk going to jail in Mexico for stealing an emblem that you can buy for 15-20 USD in the mexican dealership. I've heard that mexican prisons are less fun than american ones.

The major difference in that Tiida is that it's not a true Tiida, but rather a Versa. No bucktooth even down across the border

I was in Mexico at the beginning of May and they indeed have the Tiida.

Looked exactly like our Versa. I only saw sedans though, no hatch. They might have some, just did not see them.

It makes sense they have those cars, they are built right there!

I thought that the Tiida sold in Mexico was the same Tiida that is sold here in Venezuela, you know, imported from Japan, but apparently in Mexico is just a Versa with the Tiida Badges. I say this because from your photo I can see that your bumpers are the same has the versa sedan. Here they are completely different, there is a thread where i posted pictures of my car, i don't remember how was it called, i think that was "versa sedan" or something like that where you can see the pictures.

However, do you know if the lowering springs available for the versa will work for my Tiida? because i plan going to US on august to visit my parents and also getting a stillen intake and the eibach springs. jejejej
