I just bought a cheap OBD2 bluetooth scanner for ELM327 chips. My car is Nissan Tiida 2007 Hatch (HR16DE).
So the communication to the device is OK but it reports NO DATA for any command i sent. From what i've read the protocol should be ISO9141-2 but then i found some pinout diagrams http://www.elmelectronics.com/obdhelp.html and http://pinoutsguide.com/CarElectronics/ ... nout.shtml
On every ISO 9141-2 pinout diagram it states that it must have pin 15, but i dont. On my OBD2 port only the following pins are available:
Up 4,5,6,7 and 8
Down 14 and 16
If you check the pinout diagrams again you will see that pin 14 means protocol ISO15765-4 (CAN)
Could anyone confirm which protocol the car uses? I am not 100% sure if Versa 2007 is equal to Tiida 2007 because mine is made in Japan and this is what i read about CAN:
As of the 2005 model year, several North American vehicles had migrated to the ISO 15765-4 (CAN) interface standard, so many of the above entries only apply to 2004 or older vehicles. Beginning with the 2008 model year, North American vehicles were all required to use CAN.
