I was just thinkin about doing that combo TIEN S.Tech springs and the KYB Shocks. Is it a good idea? Is it easy to install? Or should I take it to a Professional? I know a thing or two about 240's but idk if I can take on that task of changing the springs and shocks. Let me know.

It's a farily easy install. Only special tool you need is a spring compressor. You can rent that from any auto store.

Search for write ups. They are all over the place.

And Tein S Tech and KYB AGX or GR-2 are very popular combos.

do it yourself, its pretty easy. just rent a spring compressor. lift your car up and take a look at it, its pretty self explanitory and straight forward.

#1: Just rent a spring compressor and you will be fine.#2: According to KYB USA (Who I have personally emailed and discussed this with) thier US offerings (AGX and GR-2) are suited for no more than a 1" drop and 10% increase in spring stiffness. However, many folks are running these combos with no real drama. I wouldn't, and didn't. I bought Nismo S-Tunes.

I have had the exact combo Tein springs and AGX adjustables for a couple of years with no problems but I have only driven it on the weekends.

i have daily driven my car for almost 3 years with tein stechs and kyb agx.

still holding up fine, and no sign of them sagging. i recommend them for daily driving. if you track your car, dont get them

tein must have got the s13 S-Tech springs right then, on an s-14 they lower the rear too much and the front not enough. car looked like it had the ghetto caddy sag in the rear. my reccomendation would be H&R pro-kits with the kyb adjustables. a buddy of mine is running that setup with suspension technique sway bars and it is an awesome street setup. i'm thinking of ditching my coilovers for something similar.

Hey rico05! What have you put your Nismo S-Tunes through, (Drifting, Autocross, Road Course, ect...) and how well did they hold up?

S-tech+AGX is a good daily driver combo. I wouldn't reccomend the setup for serious drifting: the AGXs are just not built to last for it. The rubber inserts at the bottoms of my rear struts are torn/seperated already. Good luck trying to get a warranty: KYB is impossible to get ahold of.

They won't drop the car very much, but they're quality.
