Which rods are you talking about the inner rod or the outer tie rod end? I have no personal experience with the products that you linked, but several people I know that have used eBay suspension parts including tie rods/ends have had lots of problems with them breaking. If you're looking for beefier rods/ends then you should look into SPL http://splparts.com , they make awesome parts. They have quite a rep in the Nissan community, and their parts have been put to the test many times. I have their tie rod ends with Z32 inner rods they work great.

Also if you need a help with installing the tie rods/ends you can check out my how to thread on my forums http://www.mestiso.net/forums/...c=340

SPL does good things but most people don't know that most of their parts are re-badged Cusco sh*t.

SPL.

If you're looking for OEM replacement get Tein. It also comes with spacers!

Oh yeah, please don't get eBay suspension parts.

Actually most of the parts are NAMS aka Nagisa, I.E. S chassis fender braces, front/rear LCA's and RUCA's. However their tie rod ends and adjustable suspension arms are designed and assembled by SPL. They buy the bushings and rod end parts from other companies to make them. In either case they make good parts that stand up to abuse and daily use.

Definitely do NOT buy any questionable steering components.

I was in a slight accident two years ago where I put a 90 degree bend in my tie rod, as well as doing some more damage. After cruising through eBay, I found "Hard Tie-Rods" very similar to: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

Being the newb that I was, I thought they were better than OE, but I was completely wrong. The one is still holding up, but let me tell you, the other one I still have is so bad. The quality is horrendous, and there is so much resistance in the ball-socket section.

At least the new ones on eBay look decent, but stick with a tried and true company. Steering is one thing you don't want to skimp on.

Well that's weird then because they look identical to each other. Looks to me like someone is in violation of copyright infingement.

Those are the S14 arms which I have never seen before since I have always looked at S13 parts. But you are right they do look like them.

I'm going to go with Wicked Tuning all around for my coupe. I've already bought the tension rods and as an owner of the SPLs on my hatch, I can say that they're definitely up there in quality. Very beefy.

They have a pretty good rep, just they don't really market themselves...

And for those of you saying to go w/ Tein. I've seen that the threads are ridiculously short for an after market part. Also the inner rods don't look to be as thick as SPL or Wicked.

SPL inner tie rods are derived from Z32 which is why they are way beefier.

wicked tuning is VERY popular among the Honda guys.their parts are very good quality. A lot of local drifters here track their cars with wicked tuning suspensions and have never had any issues, even when dropping into the infield the parts hold up very well.

And as for the don't buy suspension parts on ebay, well then, don't buy Tein or anything from SPL or FRSport because I have seen them sell things on ebay. I agree there is crap on ebay, but there is also quality stuff, just do your homework first like the OP is trying to do.

Get the wicked tuning, best bang for the buck and I haven't heard of a failure from Wicked Tuning yet.

Well, you missed the point about buying parts on eBay. I said not to buy questionable cheap parts from eBay.

I was actually looking into the Wicked tension rods a while ago, but since I couldn't really find any reviews on them, I decided not to be a guinea pig since I've already had a bad experience with cheap parts.

thats because the s14 ruca's *ARE* cusco parts...thats not "most arms"

kuah believes that he cant find or design a better part so he just sells cusco ruca's for the s14

everything else is either spl exclusive NAMS or SPL designed and assembled

just curious.

Can s14 lca and rucas be used on s13? I mean... i know people say they use s14 lca to give more clearance to wheels in front, extending track slightly or something? How true is that anyways I just want to know. SPL's LCA they are both the same right?

Secondly... the rucas, how and why are they different, the s13 ones are like a eliptic loop while the s14 ones are just that curvy bendy shape...

Any one or the other superior in anyway or anything for that matter? However minor...
