Hi guys, I got my car to a buddies shop and we're almost done with it. I'm replacing my inner and outer tie rods and figured while I had them off, I'd install some slip-on spacers. The trouble is, I can't find anywhere to buy them. If I knew the exact dimensions I could make some out of tubing. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Have you looked into adjustables? What is your end result goal?

I want to increase my steering angle for tighter turns in everyday driving. Also I would like to have the extra angle for countersteer when I decide to get it sideways. I've done some more research and the spacers don't need to be any thicker than 6-7mm (~¼"). I done some measuring; .625" i.d, .920" o.d by ¼" thick. Stopped by the local Tractor Supply and they have steel bushings .625" i.d, .875" o.d by 1"long for less than $2. I'm thinking of cutting my own. What do think?

Personally, I'm not a fan of rigging a performance car. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of things I don't mind going MacGuyver on, but a car like this I don't. I think it's well worth the investment to go adjustable.

You aren't one of those Hellaflush guys huh?

What do you mean hellaflush? lol

If I see a way to make just as good quality of a part at the fraction of a cost, I will. I have enough mechanical sense and fabrication skills to do so. I posted an update in my build thread with a picture of the spacers. I first cut them .480" wide, but done some research and seen they had to be .250" MAX. So I cut them down and they fit like a dream. I done this on a lathe so they're symmetrical.

But Adjustable spacers? I'm lost on this ziggy, i haven't seen them

Not adjustable spacers, adjustable suspension components.

And hellaflush is when you have mad camber

I cannot stand camber queens, these have plenty of camber from factory. Adjustable suspension is in the plans, but right now my main concern is getting the car driveable.

Those spacers are nothing close to being rigged at all. It's a common modification. Powered By Max in San Diego usually has theirs in stock. Also SPL sells the Tein spacers. But if you can make your own, more power to you.
