Story: I was drifting in a gravel parking lot @ night and didn't notice that I was running out of lot. I slid off the sidewalk off a curb (straight edge not even rounded) about 4-6" high. Luckily my kit was fine so I continued of to a friends house. Last night I went to go drifting and dam near hit a fire hydrant. I take a look and pass tie rod was bent from the night b4 :tisk: Yeah my bad.

So I already have steering angle spacers from an order I made from PBM awhile back. Best inexpensive and legit option seems to be buying Z32 inners from napa/kragen *like $30 cheaper than SPL rapes you for* and either getting stock S14 ends or aftermarket.

Just wondering of decent and inexpensive tie rod end choices. Is the about $90 the Tein ends cost the lowest price but best quality I can get?, because megan and circuit sport appear to be the same cost. Is it worth it to get the aftermarket ends? I can get s14 ends new for $20 each or used cheap

Figure stonger tie rods and angle spacers will be enough of an improvement and aftermarket ends prolly wont be life changing to my drifting limits...

Thanks for any feedback

Well, I don't know what the best option for you is, but I also drift and I am going to be upgrading to teins.

but just wondering.. do you actually notice any improvement with those steering angle spacers?

I gladly paid to be "raped" when I bought mine from SPL all at once, I'd rather have OEM over some cheap third party, even if it works just fine. It's piece of mind. You sound like you're on a strict budget though.

Is your car lowered at all? Will it ever be lowered? If the answer is yes, don't buy the Tein outers. It's practically a 100% stock replacement, no adjustability whatsoever, no added thickness. It is SO worth buying aftermarket ends.

Aftermarket ends will be extremely, extremely life changing if your car is lowered. It's the biggest difference I've felt with tie rods.

Tie rods I've had:
-Stock
-Tein inner/outer with spacer for angle
-Tein Z33 inner rods with spacer/SPL outer rods (current)

I can't even express what a night and day difference the adjustable bump steer makes.

The spacer gives you a lot of extra angle, it's well worth it. I'm sure it would come in handy for drifting but I've never done that before so I can't relate. I just know it makes daily driving amazing, my turn radius is incredible.

.

1) I didn't notice they were Nissan Tie Rods I suppose I should have assumed that tho good looking out I get a discount @ Nisssan I'll check the prices.

2) Yes I'm on Stance GR+'s With a full body kit:

Do you understand my amazement by only breaking 1 zip tie *kit zip tied on* when I dropped off a curb as described.

3) The Z33 inners are shorter yes and if you have the adjustable ends its no issue? I don't want to/can't spend $200 on Tie Rod Ends right now. I probably will get Z32 Inners and S14 ends and when I get $ I''ll experience the greatness of the SPL v5's lol

I've always run stock tie rods. I've broken quite a few of them, yet I still run them. Why?

Because Autozone stupidly has a lifetime warranty on them and nearest one is 5 minutes from the track. :) I must have replaced 10 by now.

Best setup I've seen/heard of/driven on so far is S14 Ikeya Formula inners with S14 MOOG outers (which you can get at Advanced Auto with a LIFETIME WARRENTY) Not to mention, if you can even BREAK a Moog outer tie rod, you would have to hit something REALLY hard.

RHD Japan has them for $150 shipped PBM cost shipped if $140 hmmm

I realize even the stock Z32's @ Napa are like $50 each so might aswell get somthing nicer. I previously I knocked on SPL for selling the Z32's for $85 I realize now that may be for a pair and not individually...Anyone know if they are selling pairs for $85?

Get the Ikeya's from RHD Japan. PBM is sold out, LOL.

You can't really argue with the size, though.
