since the beginning of this year i've had continous repair made on my coupe..

1. january - both door actuators broke, car won't lock... had this repair done thru dealer

2. february - cd stopped working, dreaded "cd err fo"... dealer wanted the car for 10 days to repair cd... i however bought an entire stock radio on craigslist and did the repair myself... total time to replace cd, 45 mins...

3. april - gas gauge starts acting up, told "schrader valve" needs to be replaced ( yeah right )... opened up my gas tank two days ago and cleaned both floaters with q-tip.. gauge back to normal...

4. yesterday, while driving home, car suddenly stalls and "service engine soon" lights up... nav advises possible emissions problem and to check gas cap... after half a day of driving and filling up tank, light goes away... gas cap was never loose..

it's already the 1st of may and i'm contemplating what's next? i know model 2004 is a problem for g35's but for this to happen one after the other? i'm seriously contemplating on getting rid of this car before it blows up on the freeway... any other potential problems i should be aware of?

Except for #4, the problems were relatively minor, and not very expensive to fix. I doubt the G will let you down. You're a pilot and trained to be in touch with your machine. That might be great in an aircraft, but it end up driving you to the new car dealer with a car.

You don't need a parachute yet. I've had Nissans for a long time and with maintenance, they just keep on running and running and running.

Are you out of CRQ?

With #4, sounds like something may be clogged? Or a leak somewhere?

i don't make that much yet.. ... it would be nice though to start fresh with a new car... i am the second owner of this car and god knows what the previous owner has done to maintain this ride... glad we have this site to vent our disappointments and gather information and most of all, support fellow "g enthusiasts"

glad to report g's back to normal, hope i didn't spoke to soon... ( now where is that AAA card )
