Just would like to inform 2006 Y50 owners. My car have being making ticking noise since I bought it 3 months ago. At first I thought it was a Top end issue maybe valve tap, lifter noise and so on. The sound is so annoying and some what embarrassing -___- lol. So took to the dealer. I explain to the writer the sound. And just like that he said "no problem we have a a fuel damper in stock" 40 min later it was fixed car sounds great no more noise. So if anyone else have this issue and can't seem to figure out the sound try checking the fuel damper. Part from dealer was $160 and it's easy to do so maybe try doing it your self but since I was at the dealer I just let them knock it out instead. Hope this helps anyone with this problem.

Thanks for the tip. This seems to be a common issue on Nissan V6 and V8 engines. I noticed a sound like this when the engine was warm after getting off the highway after driving for a while. I have an appt next Wednesday to have my car serviced and we will see if this eliminates that.

How bad or loud was the sound? Did it sound like lifters tapping?
