Another problem...^_^. When I turned off my car it makes this ticking sound for a long while. I can't tell where it's coming from...so I have no idea where to start. Any clue?

my heat shields have almost rusted off....only rust on the whole car (that and the spoiler which is no more).

Did the ticking suddenly appear? Or gradually worsen?

The exhaust ticks when it's cooling off, but not to a beat. I'm not sure what it could be.

Check for bombs

ive never heard of it ticking in rhythym, but the ticking is from contracting metal, metal shrinks ever so slightly as it cools down, and thats what your hearing, its probably coming from the block, the head, the exhaust manifold, all sorts of hot metal places. pretty much all cars do it.

It actually has a pretty regular rhythm on my car (or maybe I just have no rhythm )
