ticking???

just installed S14 v-lsd into S13 and now im getting a ticking noise from what sounds like the transmission or driveshaft. any thoughts?

When do you hear the ticking? Is it all the time? How intermittent is it? BTW, you might get more help in the 240sx Technical forum.

it only ticks when in motion also the driveshaft vibrates at low speeds

If the driveshaft is vibrating then something is out of balence.

Did you make sure to keep the shims in the same order and test the fit of the final drive before bolting the diff back up?

i swaped in the whole S14 carrier

In that case I would check the drive shaft, sounds like something is loose.

so i checked all the bolts and turned the driveshaft 180 and that helped alittle but i noticed that the driveshaft is rubbing on the dust colar 4 the trans, so i talked to Jeff at Heavy throttle and he said because the v-lsd was from a S14 w/ ABS i have to get a S14 driveshaft from a ABS equipt chassis, is this true? and is there any thing else that i can do?
