ticking sound... valve adjustment?

i heard ticking from the motor this motor, I heard similar ticks before on my b18b1 and it was fixed with valve ajdustment....

the ka has hydralic valves or something according to the search button, what about sr20det?

I didn't mis-shift or anything like that, sometimes I Drive it a little hard but that's all

This is common with SR's but we don't need valve adjustments from what I believe.

The lash is hydraulic which means... no adjustment. More than likely just a small blockage of the lifter hole.

or,you might have got some air in some of the lifters.try bleeding the air out and see if that stops the sound.

how do I bleed it

pull the lash adjuster out, put it in a tub of oil and use a thin metal rod to press down on the ball that's up in the top of the lash adjuster. Depress the top and keep doing it till the air bubbles are gone. Keep em pointed upwards or in the tub of oil on their side.

you sure its not the injectors? hehe.. sounds dumb but i just had a friend look over my car because i heard a fairly loud ticking coming from it, and its definitely the injectors pulsing.
