Ticking noise under intake manifold

I thought the ticking noise was my timing chain/guides, and later thought it was my injectors. But theres a ticking noise thats coming from under my intake manifold.

Is there something that normally makes a noise under there or is there something that commonly goes bad or wrong there?

I got a ka24e (sohc).

hydraulic lifters or timing chain if it isnt the injectors. zerothread?id=61002 read 4 posts down, that is how to check the lifters.

hmm...I'll double check tomorrow and make sure the sound is coming from under there. Thanks for the heads up. I'll update tomorrow.

I have a '95 and am having the same problems. Should I just try the same procedure?
