ticking noise....

I have a 96 I30t with 115K miles on it. I hear small ticking noise coming from under the hood every single time after driving it..is this normal? what can produce such noise?thx,

After driving it? When it's parked, engine off? Probably just the heat shields near the exhaust contracting as they cool.
