well after putting the ca in a couple of days ago everything has been really good. Now when i start the car there is a ticking noise, it sounds like its coming from the front timing cover. The noise is kinda random. Stared doin a couple days ago and then would go away, now it does it when I start the car and has not went away since. Some people said it might be the water pump or lifters. Im just curious. Please let me know what you think. thanks again.....

If you didn't change your water pump before you installed the motorset, then my guess is that is the water pump.

Yea, what he said.A new water pump is cheap and easy to do, so you might as well do it.

CA/VG/RB lifters are bulletproof. SOmetimes they get blocked up wth crap and rattle. You can try an engine flush, but im not a fan of that.I would take the lifters out and flush them out with solvent, fill them back up with clean oil and slap them back in.

I have done this a few times and seen it done many more, and it has always worked a treat
