So whenever i start my car up..i heard this FAINT ticking noise..nothing loud..and i knew it couldn't be my lifters because when i rev it doesn't get louder/faster...but whenever i engage my clutch..the noise goes away.

its a really faint ticking noise..sounds like the noise the lifter makes when its ticking.

idk sounds like a lifter or maybe some of your heat shields are vibrating.

though-out bearing. If you replace that then u should just replace the clutch too. Good luck because I'm in the middle of doing that to my car.

I've already replaced the clutch and transmission with a 98 spec transmission
