ticking noice from the engine

Iv got the ticking problem.

Im in a small town and the engineers dont know anything about my car. Its the only one in my town!!!

We[IMG][/IMG] took off the lifter valves but we came to a point where we can not take the lifter plunger out of the main unit. In a picture on the internet (http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.as ... _id=906497) it shows a snap ring that holds the plunger in. It also says to "tap" it until it pops out. My english are not so good so do you know what is ment by this taping or how can i take the plunger off so i can clean it. I alse heard that the cost for all 24 of them is 130$!!! Here in greece they cost 60€ eatch so times 24 is alot to get the new ones. If you have some more knowledge about this subject please let me know. And is it a good idea to replace the 6 of them from the side that the noise was coming from?Can you send me any kind of info of α shop that I can order them from??

Dont feel like reaidng your rescription but jsut by the title of the post " ticking noice from the engine". That means your valve/valves are worn.

There plenty places you can get them from.

Here is how you take it apart. Hold the lifter in hand and tap it few times in a open vise and watch for the plunger to pop out, hold your hand under it so it drops in your hand.

Look at the first picture. You jsut keep tapping it on the metal part so the inside can fall intot he gap.
