So here is a question for you guys. From what i understand when you have a ticking lifter/s it pretty much means that your valves is not fully opening. So with that said you expect to lose some horsepower, So my question is how much power would you generally expect to lose? the more lifters ticking the more power you lose?

i have 1, 2, maybe 3 lifters that are bad and need to be replaced. I dont have much time right now to work on my car but damn power is soooo addicting.

There's no way to tell how much power your losing.

I would just get that fixed ASAP.I could only assume that it could scor your cams?

Maybe the lifters just need to be bled?????I know some one posted a thread about that with some nice pics.

Not sure but the VG30 Lifters might be the same.I think they are for the RB20.

Yes the VG lifters are the same, but I'll put money down that the lifters just need to be cleaned if that is even the problem. See below for tutorial. I used the slapping method to loosen the lifter and then blew them out with compressed air the rest of the way. Other than that, there's nothing to it. You'll see how the ball-check valve works inside. Pretty intuitive.

On a another note, I doubt lifter troubles would be causing a noticeable loss of power. I'd look at some other possibilities for the ticking because it could be an exhaust leak or other related problem.
