so now that i have my downpipe/exhaust on and i fixed my bog problem, i can actually hear the motor. im getting a tick from the trans/bellhousing. the tick gets faster as i accelerate. tick is this there when the car is idling and gets faster as i rev as well. the tick doesnt go away when i push in the clutch. its not an exhaust leak. definitely coming from the bellhousing area. any ideas?

If it does it when at idle I'm probably wrong, but I had an annoying tick that ended up being the dust collar at the end of the tail housing that covers the yoke. it was slightly bent and the yoke would tap it every time it spun over. ... just an idea

good luck man hope its not something rubbing the clutch

its definitely not coming from the dust boot. its coming from the front of the trans. what im really hoping is that its the cover that goes inbetween the trans and block.

By where you say the sounds are coming from and the symptoms, I would hope one of your flywheel or pressure plate bolts didn't back out. I've had a friend in the DSM world that just couldn't ever keep his flywheel bolts on for some reason. The sound it made was kind of like a "ting" that changes occurance with different rpm. It is either that or I hope you have an awesome multi-plate clutch setup. Multi-plate clutches usually only do their ticking/dinging when the clutch is fully depressed though. When they are engaged, they become silent.
