dont mean to repost but accidently posted this is the "ka" section so im bring it over here.

so i replaced my valve cover gasket and sealed it all back up, rebolted it down, started up the motor after letting the seal settle and it ran fine, and started with no problem, well.......now i hear a ticking noise:( , or something like a clicking noise coming from near the valve cover or around it. Now the motor has 173,xxx on it, and it stills "goes" when i hit the accelator, exempt for the exhaust i got last night and now having to repair tomorrow morning. Please list what you guys think the problem is. or if is ok to do that being the motor is so old, also if the same thing happens to you.....thanks

If it sounds like a marble in a tin can sorta noise then its the upper top chain guide. You can just take that crappy plastic out. This noise will come from where your oil cap is.

Check your oil pan and replace it with no oil and filter. Rev the motor at 2 rpm on and off for about 20 minutes. Hit me back and see if that helps!! GOOD LUCK..
