so does anyone know how it works if u get a ticket in another state? i got a ticket today in ohio, and my lisence is in wv...the cop told me i may not get any points...since it was in a different state...any help? im kinda worried cause ill loose my lisence till november...man this blows...speedlimits in this state are too damned low...25 on a 4lane thats BS

you call get the ticket price then mail a money order in. If you are going to loose your license get a lawyer in the town/city you got the ticket in. It should be a few hundred to hire a lawyer. You shouldn't have to show up to court and most of the time the lawyer will get it dismissed/thownout. The lawyer should explain the process once you ask for advice.

thanks i guess ill just go to the mag. court 2marrow before class and see whats up, and see how much the ticket will be...i honestly dont see how i was doin 50...i just came from a stop when the cop got me and i wasnt even getting on it...at the most it was 40-45...stupid b@st@rds dont have anythign else better to do i guess, forget methlabs, and crooks and real criminals...lets go get those speeders!

ya, most states now have something called the resident violators compact (I think) where the punishments from one state are transferrable to your home state. I agree with getting the lawyer, especially if your liscense is at stake. They have a good chance of getting it dismissed, or at least dropped to something that doesn't have points so you don't lose your liscense.
