Tick Tick Ticking...

I have recently been getting a ticking under the hood in my SOHC. I feel as though its the timing chain that i may be loose or needing replacement. The car still runs just fine but, I get the loudest sounds just after start up which I heard originally a while back and thought the same about the chain. If I drove a while the sound will start to be less violent.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys.

not to be an a** but there are tons of threads about the same issue. the notorious 240 timing chain/tensioner/guide rattling

lol just playin, but definitely, not sure if there are many of 240 owners that haven't got the click. I have searched this myself numerous times, my problem was an egr leak, completely different then what he described

I know I wanted to see if there were any other answers to my issue, like the egr leak described by teknoS13, or if that was the only possible answer. I did alot of searching mostly on the timing chain itself and a mysterious ticking. I dont wanna start a 10hr timing job fruitlessly.
