So i put a Tial wastegate with a 4.5psi spring in my car tonight................ and the gauge shows 4.5psi! The spring tension between the tial and deltagate is night and day diff'. i dont think deltagates are that bad. i just didnt know what rate of spring is in mine. i am going to get a 4.5lbs spring for the deltagate next week and i will post the result between tial and delta.

should i get a higher rate spring than 4.5? how high can i go with a 4.5 spring and a EVC? i want somewhere between 10-12psi.

But as I found out...even with a decent boost controller, the WG will crack open with that light of a spring. Part throttle boost in my car SUCKED with the ~4.35psi spring, and I changed to a 7psi spring (still set at 9psi overall), and the response difference was AMAZING.

So use a stiffer spring, like 7-8psi, then a boost controller to get the last 3psi...or just get the proper WG spring and use no boost controller. That gave me the best response overall.

New TiAL springs are $25, might as well...

Was this with an electronic or manual boost controller? What do you mean by sucked? I don't seem to be having issues running 7-9PSI with my Tial 35mm WG with the 4.35PSi spring. Just curious.
