Just had my SR installed; having problems with my tial BOV.. it's vented to the atmosphere and causing the car to stall out when I come to a stop.

I know that venting to the atmosphere causes issues with the MAF, but what are some ways to combat this? I really don't want to run a blow through setup, and as for raising the idle - I can't get the idle to stay at 1k or more. (tried messing with the idle screw and it will only idle very high at 2k or so, or at around 850) I also try bringing the engine into full vacuum by downshifting, etc and/or blipping the throttle when I come to a stop... doesn't really work that well.

Does anyone out there have experience with Tial BOV's in particular? Would changing out the spring for a stiffer one be worth it? (possibly cause comp. surge?)

changing out the spring to a stiffer one on a VTA BOV is like trying to put bandaid on a bullet wound. It might stop the bleeding, but they is still a bullet in you. You could switch to a fully reirc valve like the greddy type S. Or take a look at the Turbosmart Dual Port. It allows the user to VTA while keeping the MAF happy
