Hey, I am experiencing a loug thunk in the rear end when I brake hard and let off quick, big bumps and if I do a "bad shift" (let the clutch out to quoick at a low rpm)

Someone said my rear differential bushing but I cant find anymore info that.

U joints or bad rear diff bushings. Look nuder the rear end there should be 2 bushings with bolts going through them. Stick a pry bar between the frame and the front of the diff and see if it moves alot, if it does its bad. Also check U joints. While you are under there rotate the driveshaft by hand and see if you see slop in the joints. If there is they are bad. -Alex

If you hear it when your hitting bumps check your subframe bushing. 240s have a habit of tearing apart.

Do you have a S13 or S14? Because S13's don't have diff bushings.

Cool...collars are great if you don't feel like going through the hassel so aluminum subframe bushings.

I am getting a loud clunk when i shift/brake, and this is AFTER I installed subframe collars.. explain that one.

I wonder if the bushings in the Z32 diff I installed are shot.

Check differential oil. If it is low or gooey black, drain, flush and replace with new. Limited slip differential plates will stick commonly when oil is low and/or poor quality.
