I don't know if I would have called it thumping. But on two different occasions I have had issues after pot holes. On one with a front wheek drive car I hit a pot hole and ended up with a bad bearing. Jacking the car up and manually spinning the tire did not reveal it. It had to be loaded. The car drove fine, just sounded terrible.kane04 wrote:About 2 weeks ago i hit a pretty bad pothole. Since then Ive heard this constant thumpin coming from the front at high and real low speeds. Took car to get checked out to see if rims were bent or if there was damage to tires. Everything checked out ok however noise continues. Not sure if they missed flat spot on tire possibly or if its something worse. Should I get new front tires or have someone check bearings/axel?? Any help appreciated
I asked because with on particular type of Goodyear mounted on some cars a problem with a shift in belts will end up acting somewhat like an alignment problem. You will not see anything on the outside or inside of the tire and your alignment will check out normal.kane04 wrote:I have Dunlop Direzza tires.
