There is a technical service bulletin for the Rogue regarding a clunking noise while turning the wheel, here is the details:
"NTB10084 - IF YOU CONFIRM - There is a noise (clunking, popping, or bumping) when the steering wheel is turned. AND - The noise is coming from the top of the front strut assembly. ACTION Replace the left and right Strut Mounting Bearings with the ones listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin. - Refer to section FSU, chapter FRONT COIL SPRING AND STRUT in the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for Removal and Installation instructions. See this bulletin for further detail."
So there is a possibilty you have bad strut mouting bearings, if you take it to your dealer they'll be able to diagnose and repair it.
If you have AWD there is another TSB that could be relevant although it doesn't quite sound like your issue:
"NTB10029 - IF YOU CONFIRM There is a grinding or knocking noise or vibration from the rear of the vehicle: - when making wide turns - on dry roads - at low speeds (under 20 MPH). ACTION Remove the Rear Propeller Shaft and test drive the vehicle: If the noise/vibration DOES NOT stop: This bulletin DOES NOT APPLY. Refer to ASIST for further diagnostic assistance. If the noise/vibration DOES stop: Replace the Electrical Coupling Assy. (CPLG ASSY-ELEC) with the one from the Parts Information section of this bulletin. Refer to the appropriate section in the Electronic Service Manual for removal and installation. DO NOT replace the entire Rear Final Drive assembly for this incident, if it should occur"
