what is it?When I'm stopped at a red light I here thump............thump......thump...etcNot a banging noice and not very loud. I more feel it then turn the radio down and hear it.Sounds like there is someone in my truck punching the trunk floor.Its not all the time and I look at the tac and the rpm's aren't changing

Im thinking its exhaust related, either a leak or the exhaust is moving around and hitting the body... Im not sure, but with the information youve given us i dont think we can make an accurate diagnosis....

Well I'm thinking that if it was exhaust moving around wouldn't have to be the engine hesiating or skipping a beat to get the exhaust to thump/ move around? I cant think of anything else that would cause that though.... thats really the only thing that is back there that remotely moves....

Is it only when the car is in D?Other gears?Neutral?Get someone else to sit in the car, in D, with the brakes on... then go looking under the car to try and locate the noise.
Also, could it be a loose exhaust flange from either the cat converters, or the smaller rear muffler?..... and the exhaust gasses are "popping" out of the gap and hitting the floor of the car....
