Thanks!

Thanks man, at least I'm in a better mood now, even if I can't get the darn thing off :)

I'd say try freezing it. Maybe the inner metal will contract more than the bearing?

those bearings are pressed on-try getting someone at a nissan shop or possibly an indipendent shop to press the old one off and the new one on-maybe for a few beer bucks on the side!

Get a table clamp. One of those things that you turn the knob and it gets tighter and holds whatever you need held in place. Tighten it down by the old TO bearing and get a large socket or some thing the same size and just hammer that piece out of the middle of the TO bearing. Then put the new TO bearing on a table and use a rubber mallet to hammer the piece into the new TO bearing. Hammer around in a circle, not just one side at a time.

Thanks guys. I'll give the hammer approach a chance. I just don't have a socket or anything that will fit it. I'll stop by and pick something up on the way home tomorrow. Thanks again!

yeah hammer approach I have found works well. I just put that metal thing it's on in a vice, and whacked the TOB a few times on each side, popped right out after a few good shots. The new one I put on but putting a piece of wood on top of it and lightly tapping it into place. but yeah you could try freezing it put the new one on, but getting the old one off it really wouldn't help much. Iron and steel both have pretty similar coeffecients of expansion.

Thanks Money :) That's what I plan on doing as soon as I find the time. My boss has been a real pain of late, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of rage built up when the time comes.
