Valley, he already answered that. So, when the transmission is engaged, there is whining, which could be just about any bearing in the transmission (except for the mainshaft bearings).
Could also be caused by your TO bearing rubbing on something, but that's not likely, and anyways, your TO bearing has no load until you push in the clutch pedal.
Wouldn't be the pilot bushing since that spins with the flywheel and could thus only make noise when the clutch is pushed in.
My KA setup also made a whining noise when in neutral, clutch out. But I fixed it by swapping in the RB20
