thrown rod

This is my block with a hole in it from a thrown rod This just means more money has to be spent than what I have right now! Looks like im gonna be drivin g-ma's ford taurass for a while

Been there, bro, I feel your pain. Shot a rod cap out of #3 on my first turbo engine. Didn't leave a hole quite that big, though. I'm impressed! Sorry to hear, hope you get it fixed ASAP. Good luck!

If you throw a rod will it always leave a hole? Can it run with a thrown rod? Newb question but I am having car problems and someone told me I might have thrown a rod.

Na, not salvageable by any means. Oil came bursting out of that block as soon as that rod went through.

just get a new KA, they only run about 200 bucks or so
