Throw Out Bearing Question

I Know this probably has been discussed before but i didnt find what i was looking for through search but the bearing seems like it wont slide up and down the shaft i just installed a new clutch and cant get the fork to slide it back and forth after installation so i am going to pull trans again and grease the shaft real good and look at the metal clips inside they seem a little weak and i was wondering if anyone had a picture of the fork and how it is suppose to correctly hold the bearing the drawings are never as good as real pictures or any conclusions thanks for the help
