Changing a throw-out bearing is as much work as changing the clutch.

So you're looking at about $300-$400 for an OEM clutch replacement if someone does it, or $100-$300 if you DIY, depending on your clutch selection.

Yea when i changed my clutch i left my old throw out bearing in instead of putting the new one in and now it makes some sort of weird wobbling sound when the clutch isnt engaged.

Would it be possible to just pull the trans apart and replace the throw out bearing and piece it back together or would i basically have to order a whole new clutch kit and get the flywheel resurfaced again?

This clutch has somewhere around 10k miles on it and costed me $400 so i really wouldnt like to replace it.

the throwout being is what actually presses on the pressure plate. it slides onto the input shaft of the transmission.

to change it you have to pull the transmission off. the clutch can stay on. throw out bearings are about $40-45 from any parts store. along with $10 in gear oil its $55 job for someone to do themselves, just takes up most of the day usually
