Alright,I got my clutch installed and went to install the Throw-Out bearing and I wanted to verify that it was installed correctly. This is for the RB25 DET transmission. I used the RPS MAX Z32NA clutch kit. I know that the Z32 and S1 RB25 DET bearings are different, but I assume since the bearing was from RPS in a kit, it should be fine. I also measured the clutch disc (240mm) and and the pressure-plate fit perfectly. Anyways, a picture is worth 1k words, so here we go! Is everything cool? Yea or Nay.

If anyone wants an additional photos, no problem. The bearing is seated at the bottom of the piece that it fits on (Sorry, don't know the name of it..) After confirmation I will be adding _lots_ of bearing grease on the shaft and inside the 'slider'.Alright Thanks!

I just got a confirmation that it is kosher.

Does anyone have any suggestions for grease? I'm looking for white Lithium based with Moly correct? Any brans that stick out to use / avoid? I'm going to be near an Advance Auto and an AutoZone. Thanks for the info!

Hey bud, did you get that clutch from andy? He mentioned he sold one to someone in IN.

I spoke to him regarding that exact same model. PLEASE let us know how you like it. I am currently leaning in that direction.

I just used high temp bearing grease if I remember correctly.

Evan,

Aye, it was me. Everything seemed to go in fine. Like I stated above, the bearing itself is different (Z31 vs Z32) but I assumed that since the Z32 bearing is what came with the clutch, I should probably use it :wink . I will not be able to tell you what I think of it for at least a month, till I can get the car on the road. What I can tell you about it is that everything went in smoothly and matched perfectly. The _one_ gripe that I have is that it did not come with any instructions... I know how to install a clutch, but I thought that it should have came with _some_ documentation / warranty info, but I found none.

I measured the clutch and pressure plate before I installed them because I had heard that RPS has had issues recently with shipping incorrect items, but it all looked fine. The clutch disc itself was identical to my OEM that I had removed, but I will assume that this will have a much higher clamping load than the OEM. Anyways, you can view my galary on Photobucket for more pics or email me and I will give you more info / link to my build journal. Thanks!

the rps clutch is not much stiffer than a standard ka clutch, its quite driveable.bronzemfp on this site plopped one onto his rb when he did the swap and when i drive his car its VERY easy to actuate the clutch.

I have the 6-puck sprung hub and it is easy to drive. First gear takes a little getting used to, but after that its a cinch.

I had no idea it was such a popular clutch.

My throwout bearing is falling apart, making some terrible noises. I need a clutch so RPS seems to be the way.

Lesson learned; XTD clutch is not an all bad unit for a stock-ish setup but the t/o bearing is a hunk of crap.
