I bought my mom this '93 vert after her '95 Honda Accord got stollen from her condo. She soon forgot about the car she had grown to love and why not. At 79 she got her spring back. Unfortunately she's now 83 and I had to take the car away. About 3800 bucks went into the car since I took it from her. Seems like everytime I fixed something, something else broke. Now the car is practically rebuilt with only 93K miles. transmission is typical and problemmatic. Gears burned up (overheated), replaced, now transmission won't work at all after two week. Towed back to shop to see what problems there are? After all is said and done, hopefully this next week I will get the car back. An offer is waiting for the car so I may just sell it. In the interests of all, never buy old cars unless you are prepared to dump money into it. Yep, it's just like trying to restore a model T ford, except I think the Ford would be worth a heck of a lot more money. What do you think? Boing?????

ha - I had to read it twice.

Ok, the man is talking about whether or not he should get rid of the vert, b/c his transmission is shot.

Hey dude, if you are gonna sell - then might as well post the info here and on the Classified forum. I'm sure it will get picked up asap...

Although, I am sorry to see a fellow vert owner so dissapointed...

dont get me wrong i love my vert but he is right a nice old classic car would sale for alot more then a 92-94 nissan 240sx convertible...

some people dont know how or have the space or time to fix there own cars so when you have to pay a shop to fix your car it comes out to alot of money. and to see all that money go into a a old car (not old as in classic like the model T) can be discureging making people think twice about having the car that can demand so much work.

thats why most 240sx owners are do it themselfers. cause something always brakes lol...
