Hey!91 240sx 5speed. i dont know if its a real problem or what but what i have is when i tap the throttle a little bit RPM's goes up and stay there for a little bit. But once u hit harder it does normally. Like its goes up and as soon as the foot is off the gas it goes back down at idle rpm's. Oh yea i also have a high idle problem idk if this problem goes with it!

Thanks

SOunds like you IAC (Idle air control) unit is having a moment maybe its going bad or just carboned up try taking it out and carb sprying all the filth which is probably in it and spray some in the port you take it out of hopefully thats all it is because I dont know how pricey one of those are but I know its not cheap. Good luck man.

id go pull another iac valve from a junkyard n see if that fixxes you iac problem, sounds like its getting stuck open a lil bit, if you run sea faom thru the iac valve nipple that pulls vacume thatll clean it out good, thats what i used in my 26

the IACV wasnt the problem. It was caused by the high idle issue. intake manifold gasket was blown. Found it pretty quick by spraying around some TB cleaner.
