Hi,

What's the difference between the auto & manual throttle position sensors?

I understand I can swap a ka24de sensor to a ca18det throttle body, but what's up with the auto & manual difference? (the manual one costs more )

I have a ca18det auto engine (the car had an auto transmission, but was later swapped to manual)...does this mean my sensor won't work? if it will, then can I get a new ka24de auto tps sensor?

if your engine is an auto, get an auto speed sensor. I think there is an extra plug on the manual sensors, but can't remember exactly.

you mean the manual TPS won't fit my auto harness?

maybe the TPS is somehow connected to the ECU (through the main harness) and if the ECU was swapped, then the TPS should be as well?

yea i think you got it right. i was a little tired earlier haha

the TPS you get should depend upon the ECU you are using.

Manual ECU -> Manual TPS and vice versa

The auto tps has a switch in it that isn't used by the manual ECU. IDK why one is cheaper than the other.

So I can simply get the auto TPS switch and I'll be fine?
