ok, so i bought a completed harness for an sr swap, and the harness does not have a throttle position sensor plug. i looked over a bunch of online wiring guides, and none of them mentioned the tps, so i assumed that the missing tps harness was normal. however, i asked around, and heard that the car will run without the tps, just not very well.

so my throttle position sensor on the engine is a 3 pin, as opposed to 6 pin. whats the difference? my harness is already wrapped and completed, but should i dig in and trace the wiring from the ecu and direct wire it to the tps? based on this http://www.240sxmotoring.com/srwiecupiand.html

TPS input: whiteTPS power output: light green/red3rd pin im assuming ground?

and why is a 6 pin tps different? ahhh!?

automatics still have a tps. the tps is on the throttle body its self. you jsut have a plug on the harness that goes to it.

but in any case......yea, i'd try and find where those tps wires are unless someone else has a better suggestion.
