I'm new to the world of Infiniti but I love my new (old) car. I got a '97 J30 a couple of weeks ago and it's in great shape. A couple days ago (about 800 miles since purchase) I was accelerating onto the freeway and I got a hesitation from the engine. Just then the check engine light came on. Since then it seemed to be fine so I was going to just clear the fault but yesterday I had some trouble starting the car. I had to use the gas pedal for about the first 20 seconds to keep it running and again it's been fine since. I had the fault codes read and the first one is throttle position sensor. The other two are transmission faults that seem related to the throttle position sensor.

I was going to check the wiring and perhaps order a sensor - found one for $100 but I don't know where it is. I haven't found a repair manual yet and this car is new to me.

Any advice please???
